Katie has chicken pox at the moment so I have had to take yesterday and today off work as she is still at the 'infectious stage' and cannot go to nursery. Yesterday I got a call from Kidney Research UK to say that BBC Radio Northampton wanted to interview me about why I am doing the Flora London Marathon and then later on another call about the Northampton Chronicle & Echo newspaper wanting to interview me also. Yesterday afternoon I did a telephone interview with the Chronicle and am waiting for a photographer to come round to get a photo of me and Katie. This morning at about 0750 I did a live interview on BBC Radio Northampton about doing my 2nd Flora London Marathon, Katie, her kidney condition and Kidney Research UK. I was a bit nervous but I think it went well. I am off to London tomorrow morning to collect my running number and settle into the hotel before the marathon on Sunday. eek! It is only a couple of days now! |
