It has been a while since I last posted on here. A lot has happened too so I thought I should give an update. Katie was an angel in her nursery nativity play. They asked for us to supply a white vest and halo to make up part of her costume but Katies grandma went and got a complete outfit with wings and everything. The nursery loved it so much they went out and got matching outfits for the other girls who were angels in the nativity. The production itself was lovely and Katie even managed to remember the song words and actions. She was a very beautiful angel. We went to Scotland after Christmas to visit with my family. Katie and Zackery had lots of fun seeing the sights of Edinburgh and visiting with family. We went bowling one day and they each managed to win a game. Me and Ben were not even trying to lose. The kids just managed to beat us! In the New Year I completed the online application for Katie to start school in September. Scary thought that she will be old enough to go to school but she will be 4 in April so the time has come! I mentioned to her that she will need to have a school uniform and she seemed to think that it would be better if she went to school in her party dresses and dancing shoes! January also saw the start of both Katie and Zackery starting swimming lessons. Katie goes on a Monday afternoon just before lunchtime. She was, until last week, the only one in her class so was getting one on one attention. She has a pair of pink goggles and just loves swimming. I went to a Kidney Research UK pre London Marathon meeting in London on Saturday. It was lots of fun and I met lots of interesting and friendly people. Many first timers for the marathon and they all seemed excited and nervous about it. Not long to go now so my training needs to pick up the pace. I bought a 2nd hand motorised treadmill a few weeks ago so that I can train no matter what the weather. Just as well really as the weather has had a turn for the worse over the past couple of days |
