I am getting more and more brave with this requesting raffle prizes lark. I went into Lush this morning to pick up the raffle prize they said they would give me. The lovely Emma, who is the manager of the store, gave me a 'Happy' gift box and told me to let her know how I do with the raffles and the marathon itself. She was very nice and come to think of it, each time I go into the store the staff are always lovely. Always . I have never had a bad experience there. I then moved on to the Body Shop and got talking to a girl there, whose name escapes me but I do remember she had bright red in her hair, and she gave me 5 vouchers for free skin consultations and a make over. Apparently at the start of December they will be starting their Christmas make overs for nights out etc so good timing for my raffle. Next I went to the Disney store. I was fully expecting a 'No' but the lady I spoke to was very nice and gave me an address to write to. She said she would love to do the marathon but had never been brave enough to apply for it. Even if they could give me a couple of their mugs, it would be great. (We were stood next to the mugs whilst we had our chat) I have still not heard anything from Chegwin. I think I may try the other email address that is on his website. His agent has not replied to the email I sent 2 weeks ago now. Probably just deleted it but I would like some kind of response. If tomorrow is nice I may take another wander into town and try a few more shops. As I said before, 'You don't get if you don't ask'! I do have a few ideas up my sleeve and have written to a few places so am awaiting some responses. |
